Make sure you are in neutral before you get put onto the grid, hold the clutch down, into 1st, then wait for the green lights. The handbrake stays on once you hold the clutch down.
This is what I have done. Make a copy of your LFS folder and use the copied folder for test patches, that way you'll still have a compatible LFS.exe to use.
EDIT: No, you can't race on patch W servers with this W26 patch.
I doubt it has changed since UKCT/CTRA began running the servers.
I was going to do that too, practice offline, but there's no comparison to racing/spectating others racing on the servers, as zeugnimod has already said. Also, ask for setups or, if you want to try making your own, get Bob Smiths Easy Race setups here and build on them.
I can't understand all this fuss either? People complaining that they can't drive the car they want because they hate the UF1 or slow cars. There's plenty of other servers, you can even start your own and run any car and any track you like.
And people moaning about crashers/wreckers ruining their race to gain some points. Well if you reported people like that the servers would have less of them or they would cop on and stop wrecking others. There's not a significant gain in points to be had for wrecking in one race and if that person consistantly wrecked I'm sure someone would report them and that would be the end of it. I have been wrecked many times but I wouldn't say that it was always intentional (we were all n00bs at some stage, me included). I just brush the dust off and get on with it, knowing that when I got promoted to the next rank there would be less wreckers and better racers on the next level, which there is.
As garph before me said, you don't have to race there, so why complain about the server rules when you could go somewhere else?
Becky, if I was you, I wouldn't even bother keeping count of people like that, I'd be counting the ever growing number of people obtaining their STCC licenses. People leaving/asking to have their points removed is far far less than the people joining up.

Anyway...
Back to the topic, "Should the STCC system be part of the LFS official game?"
Well I think it should be but as an option, making it compulsory would limit LFS as a game. Like in GTR2 where it has different championships, or TOCA where you have to go up the ranks to get to the top events. I'm not sure how it would work but I think LFS would benefit from having the STCC, or something similar, as a part of the official game.
I'm not mad about the blue/Irish flag theme meself, they just don't go.
I started workin' on a XFR skin but I'm kinda stuck on what else to add to it, any suggestions? See attachments... I was thinkin' of adding number plates on the doors but not sure, it didn't look good when I tried it. LFS logos maybe?
I enjoyed it. Nice to get a race wit alot of Irish lads, half or quarter Irish, it's all the one.
Anyway...
I'm happy to race anything tbh. I haven't raced any open-wheelers yet so not sure how I'll do in those but any track, any car, once it's clean racing. To answer the question though, yeah, I was happy wit the combo.
Well, for me anyway, I'm not mad about all the PB times and "Great Split" messages coming up on the screen, it's just distracting. Plus, when there's alot of racers all the split time messages covers my rear view mirror.I know I could press shift+f and not see it all but I like to see my splits not everyone elses and I don't really care if some gets a PB, sure LFSW will say it anyway. Oh and about the spectate thing, it doesn't really bother me, it didn't happen to me at all. It's probably better for a cleaner race to get wrecked cars off the track quickly. Also, if ye know your going to get spectated if you crash then you will try not to crash as much. The server name doesn't really matter either, once the racing is good.
Yeah, I'd be into joining a league, got my new G25 so have to get me moneys worth. I'd be able to race on weekdays.
I just got my G25 and my wheel is doing nothing, not moving in profiler and no axis moves when in LFS settings. Please tell me it's something obvious.
I installed the drivers, then plugged in the USB, as instructed. It says the G25 is detected but in the settings the wheel doesn't move, or make sound (is it supposed to like all other buttons, etc.?).
EDIT: BTW, I have searched and haven't found anyone with similar problems. It doesn't do it's calibration thing I have seen people talking about? It's beginning to reck my head.
